Have you heard of IndieBound? Well don’t feel bad if you haven’t, the website was just launched this year. In fact, I just learned of them last week thanks to a friend’s facebook message.

Well, IndieBound seems to be a movement connecting independent bookstores. The website isn’t fantastic, but it’s pretty darn good for only being up for a few months. You can find friends, become facebook fans, become friends of your fav independent bookstore, and–my favorite feature–keep an online book wish list (wish it came with more features, though, like connecting to a blog or facebook page).  You can, though, email the list to Santa, cross your fingers, and eagerly await a stocking stuffer of a book: affordable, portable, memorable.
