Thanks, Bob. yeah, I think it's really good to be open about things so we can learn from each other. The live blogging was sort of an experiment but perhaps a helpful one. I'll say hi to mary beth for you! Peace.

I have often wondered what "live blogging" of a presbyery meeting would be like. My skills at thech things are not there. as a member of my presbyeries Meetings and Worship Committee, (Philadelphia) it was interesting to see what goes on and how you do presbytery.

It was interesting to see that we are also wrestleing with many of the same things you are. We have recently closed two churches, both after long ministries due to changing situations and demographics. Both after long times of discernment by the congregation.

I found you comment about the COM report interesting, my feelings exactly, we don't do the introduction thing very well, either. At our November meeting, bio material was available in printed form and then the committee person read the paper in the meeting. I can see wherein you situation with what appears to be two metings a year there can be lots of things happening between actual meetings.

With Philadelphia's afternoon or evening meeting schedule (when we start getting over 4 hours the world starts to come to its end...) we have difficulty setting aside time for conversation. We get complaints that it is not meeting buisness. It is good that you are making very concious efforts to have these conversations and that they seem to be longer than 30 minutes (the amount of time we had when last we tried this)

I am glad to see that we share the welcome by the host congregation, in committee we refer to it as the "Bathroom Report"

Heard you are doing PCOCS this week, have a good meeting, say Hi to Mary Beth J. for me.
